Kyrone Davis is being widely underestimated in this fight. He showed in his fight against Anthony Dirrell what his upside looks like and although he is the naturally smaller man he has also proven that he has a good chin. He took some of Dirrells best shots and stayed upright. Dirrell was perceived to be done and on the way out after that but then he came back last weekend and scored a big one punch knockout and showed that his power was still there. Going in to this fight, Davis now knows that he can take the heat from big punchers like Dirrell and dish out his own. David Benavidez jr is a very strong and physical fighter with dangerous power but no man is invincible and if Davis can stay out of trouble and execute the perfect gameplan, he just might win a decision and pull off one of the big upsets of the year.
