Joshua is the big favorite going in but this is what I believe will happen: Usyk will start cautiously as he always does but he will stay out of danger from Joshua’s big right hand shots but on the other hand while he is figuring Joshua out, he will not be able to land anything other than single shots on the move and without much power. Joshua will be frustrated because he will not be able to figure Usyk out and after 4-5 rounds, Usyk will start to land more frequently on Joshua who will start to slow down. Usyk will maintain the pressure which anyone who has fought Usyk will attest to is really draining physically and mentally. Joshua is a big puncher but Usyk has never shown any vulnerability with his chin so we know that Joshua will have to land something big if Usyk is to get real hurt. I do not see that happening here. Not the type of homerun punch that will knock out Usyk cold. Usyk himself punches harder than advertised which is why his opponents always are wary of bumrushing him. Usyk will dominate in the 2nd half of the fight and there is a chance that he knocks down and stops Anthony Joshua for a knockout win. There have been rumors that Joshua has been knocked out badly in sparring during this camp and that can play a big role. Usyk has genuine selfbelief and he hasn’t learned how to lose yet while Joshua has. Here is the bad part for Usyk and I will be fully honest about this. I believe that Usyk has NO chance at all to win on the scorecards if it goes the distance. Even if it seems like Usyk has won 9 or 10 rounds. They will still give it to Joshua. We could see a major robbery take place tonight. Joshua is simply put worth too much and he just signed a lifetime contract with matchroom. They will not just let him lose unless he really gets knocked out which is a real possibility here. Expect a controversial decision going Joshua’s way in a fight where it looks like Usyk has won or Usyk manages to stop Joshua. Usyk to win by ko/tko is priced at +700 (8.00 decimal odds) and that is the best play here.
