Shakur Stevenson faces Jeremia Nakathila who we have never heard of before this fight in a 12 round interim bout for the WBO junior lightweight title. In looking at this fight it is obvious that Nakathila has a very difficult challenge in front of him and that is because of how good and talented Shakur Stevenson really is. However, Nakathila is in very good shape and he is motivated and that is usually a good sign but he just doesn´t have the pedigree to be able to deal with someone like Stevenson in our view. Nakathila has never faced any elite opponents before and has never been in a big fight like this before so this will be new territory for him but he has come all the way from Namibia for this fight so you can be sure that he will give it his all. Stevenson for as talented as he is, seems to lack one thing and that is that one-punch knockout power that turns the lights off. Usually if he gets stoppages it comes from him wearing down his opponents or hitting them with enough clean shots that they have a cumulative effect. Nakathila has knocked out several guys early in fights so Stevenson will have to be weary of Nakathila´s overhand right which is his money punch and just take his time. So how will the fight play out?
Nakathila will try to start fast with some determined attacks but he will find it hard to hit Stevenson with clean shots but he will not get discouraged. We see Stevenson winning almost every round here and possibly stopping Nakathila late. The Pick is Shakur Stevenson to win the fight
