Anthony Dirrell vs. Kyrone Davis

12 rounds, super middleweights

Anthony Dirrell (33-2-1) is back in the ring against Kyrone Davis (15-2) in a 12 round super middleweight fight. Davis has never before fought above 160 pounds and it wasn´t too long ago when he was still fighting in the 154 pound division. The two losses Davis has came against the late Patrick Day and prior to that Junior Castillo. Dirrell has been out of the ring for over a year and in his last fight he was beaten and stopped by David Benavidez. He was doing okey in many stretches of the fight but the pressure that Benavidez was putting on him became too much as the fight went on. Benavidez can be hit when he is coming forward but he is a big and strong guy and he keeps pushing forward which makes him so difficult to deal with. Kyrone Davis knows what an oppurtunity this is and he is in top shape. He is trained by our own Stephen "Breadman" Edwards who has designed a masterplan for him to win the fight. Kyrone Davis is priced at +300 (4.00 decimal odds) and the favorite Dirrell at -400 (1.25 decimal odds). This is a tough fight for both men because while Dirrell has a big advantage in experience, Davis has a big advantage in youth and tenacity.

We are going with the upset here: Kyrone Davis to win the fight. This is the oppurtunity of his career and he will rise to the occasion. The pick is Kyrone Davis to win the fight.
