Filip Hrgovic vs. Rydell Booker

10 rounds, heavyweights

Filip Hrgovic is touted as one of the best up and coming heavyweights and he might be but he is still facing a lot of subpar opponents so far in his career so it is difficult to tell for sure how long he will reach. His record stands at a perfect 11-0 with 9 ko´s. The best opponent he has faced so far might be Eric Molina that he knocked out in three rounds last year. The opponent he stands to face this time around is Rydell Booker (27-3). Booker used to be a decent fighter back in 2004 but he then was out of the ring for 14 years until 2018 when he started fighting again. What we know about Booker is that he usually is very durable. He took a lot of hard punches against Jermaine Franklin but stayed on his feet and didn´t look visibly hurt at any time. Now he is nearing 40 years old and in contrast to some of his more recent fights where he has looked in shape, he now stepped on the scale looking like he barely has had time to train for this fight. Hrgovic will put on a lot of pressure and he throws a lot of punches. (sign in to view our prediction & pick)

Hrgovic is a lot better than Jermaine Franklin and he is much more precise with his punches. He will keep this fight at a high pace and we can´t see Booker being able to keep up with that. Hrgovic becomes the first one to stop Booker. The Pick is Filip Hrgovic to win by ko/tko.
