Marrios Barrios vs. Ryan Karl will serve as the co-main event for Davis-Santa Cruz. This will be Barrios first defense of his WBA Super lightweight title he won in his last fight against Batyr Akhmedov. Barrios was struggling for big parts of that fight but he was able to put him down two times in the fight which ultimately sealed him the victory. Ryan Karl is not on the level of Akhmedov but he has been training hard for this fight.
