Gervonta Davis vs. Leo Santa Cruz

12 rounds, for Davis WBA lightweight title and Santa Cruz WBA junior lightweight title

Gervonta “Tank” Davis faces Leo Santa Cruz in what looks to be Davis toughest assignment yet as a professional. They are both making their PPV debut and the idea is to turn Gervonta Davis in to a big star while Santa Cruz earns one last big payday. Davis is expected to win this fight and he is expected to win by knockout but nobody has ever stopped Santa Cruz who has always shown a good chin. He is also technically sound and perhaps the best thing about Santa Cruz is his ability to work at a very high work rate for 12 full rounds. He has thrown over 1000 punches in several different fights. Davis on the other hand throws considerably less and if Davis isn´t able to take Santa Cruz out with a big shot you would have to wonder if Santa Cruz volume boxing will win him the rounds. Although Santa Cruz is supposed to be the smaller man coming up in weight, he doesn´t look that much smaller and he looks to have improved his physical strength. We feel that Santa Cruz is being written of completely here and he is better than that perception. (sign in to view our prediction & pick)

The most likely winner in this fight is Tank but we are not counting out the possibility of Santa Cruz pulling of the upset with a close decision. We do believe that the fight goes Over 10.5 Rounds no matter the winner so that will be our play here. The Pick is Over 10.5 Rounds for even money.
