Dillian Whyte vs. Alexander Povetkin

12 rounds, for Whytes WBC interim heavyweight title

Dillian Whyte (27-1) vs. Alexander Povetkin (35-2-1) is a very interesting match-up- Whyte has been the nr1 contender for a very long time and he is yet to get his rightful shot at the WBC title. It would be very unfortunate for him if he was to lose this fight for any reason which would put him at the end of the line again. Povetkin is technically the more skilled fighter but he is several years removed from his prime and he looks physically deteriorating compared to his best days. But even this version of Povetkin is still a lot to deal with for most heavyweights. Whyte looks the fresher of the two and he is in good shape and has trained very hard for this. It is thinkable that both men are capable of winning this fight. Whyte seems vulnerable late in fights. They will be evenly matched for the most part before fatigue sets in. The safe play here is taking the over 7.5 Rounds for a price of -190 (1.53 decimal odds). If there is a knockout at all which is doubtful, it will be late in the figth.
