Joe Joyce vs. Michael Wallisch

10 rounds, heavyweights

Joe Joyce (10-0) was scheduled to face off against Daniel Dubois before the pandemic put a halt to all fights and the fight was postponed several times. When enough time had passed, Joyce and his team felt that it would be better to have an easier fight first to shake of the rust so it was decided that both Joyce and Dubois would have a fight each before they will fight each other. Michael Wallisch has a record of 20-3 and he has been stopped in all 3 of his losses. However, it is notable that his first stoppage loss against Christian Hammer was a weird occurrence. It appeared as though an incidental head-butt took place and it was hard to tell who was at fault for that. Wallisch got the worst of it and as he was bent down, the referee simply waived of the fight which was absolutely terrible. In his other 2 stoppage losses against Efe Ajagba and Tony Yoka there was no controversy. I think it is fair to say that Wallisch is in a very difficult contest and just for him to survive to hear the final bell would be a big achievement in itself. Joe Joyce got what he asked for. An opponent that he can shake of the rust against, get his timing in and perhaps get his confidence just a little bit higher to prepare him for Dubois. There is no wuestion in our mind that he gets the knockout here. Wallisch will not be able to take that big firepower for any length of time if at all. The only question is; how quickly does Joyce get to him?. Our first pick is Joyce to simply win by ko/tko, that is a sure thing in this fight. We are also adding another pick that he will be able to do it Under 2.5 rounds for even money.
