Andy Vences (23-1-1) faces Luis Alberto Lopez (20-2) in a 10 round fight on the undercard of Zepeda-Castaneda. Vences is highly thought of and he is expected to get a title shot sooner rather than later but you have to wonder if he will be ready for the champions in the division anytime soon. It might be that Top Rank slows it down and lets him wait until the end of next year when he will be better prepared. Andy Vences only has one loss that came against Albert Bell a year ago where he lost a narrow decision. Luis Alberto Lopez has a nice looking resume with many wins but the only time he stepped up against better opposition; he was soundly beaten at the hands of Ruben Villa. That was in May of 2019.
