Efe Ajagba is one the best prospects in the heavyweight division and big things are expected from him in the future. We are not quite as impressed although we think he is a dangerous, strong heavyweight. His best qualities are first of all his strength and punching power and he has descent technique. Where he lacks seems to be in his fluidity, where he seems a little stiff and slow at times. Against the fodder type of opposition he has faced so far, you can´t notice the flaws as easily but it will be more apparent when they raise the quality of his opposition. So far he has compiled a record of 12-0 with 10 knockouts. As an amateur he managed to represent his country of Nigeria in the 2016 Olympics. He will fight Razvan Cojanu (17-6) from Romania on the co-main event of Kownacki-Helenius. Cojanu is not known for any of his victories unfortunately, but rather for his fights against Luis Ortiz and Daniel Dubois where he was blown out in 2 rounds against both. You can´t expect Cojanu to show us anything new from Ajagba and he has little to no chance at all to win this bout. Picking only who to win in this fight does not provide any value but the question is if Ajagba can get the stoppage or not? Like we mentioned, Ortiz and Dubois stopped Cojanu in the 2nd round. Joseph Parker and Nathan Gorman went the distance with him. (Sign in for our prediction & pick)
Ajagba´s physical strength and punching power along with his offensive style is all that is needed in ensuring that he knocks out Razvan Cojanu in this match-up. Ajagba in some ways really resembles Daniel Dubois, but he is not as good as Dubois. The same traits that ensured Dubois the knockout victory against Cojanu will make sure Ajagba does the same. We are releasing two picks for this fight. The first Pick is Efe Ajagba to win this fight by ko/tko for a price of -1000 (1.10 decimal odds) and then we have an additional more specified pick that he does it in Under 3.5 rounds for a good value price of -110 (1.90 decimal odds)
