Yordenis Ugas vs. Mike Dallas Jr

12 rounds, welterweights

Yordenis Ugas will meet Mike Dallas jr in what best can be described as a stay busy fight. It is fair to say that Ugas best year so far in his career was 2019 where he won one fight and lost one. His performance was very impressive in both fights. First he fought Shawn Porter and lost a close split-decision in a fight many observers thought he had done enough. So although he didn't get the official nod, he gained a lot of new fans with that excellent performance and he raised his status in the welterweight division. His opponent Mike Dallas jr (23-3-2) was once a promising prospect but his career has been on a steady decline since he was knocked out in one round by Lucas Mathysse in 2013. Since then he has only fought five times in nearly the 7 years that has passed. Four of the five fights he has had came against fighters with losing records. He did however fight to a split decision draw against Dusty Harrison who still is an unbeaten fighter.

Ugas will pick him apart with not many difficulties. Dallas jr is fast with his hands but his defense looks sloppy in most of his fights and the timing of Ugas will allow him to land many clean shots. Ugas is also the bigger and stronger fighter of the two which will see him backing up Dallas jr and pinning him to the ropes. We have 2 picks for this fight.
