Danny Garcia (35-2) will face Ivan Redkach (23-4) in a 12 round WBC eliminator this Saturday. Ivan Redkach is coming of his without a doubt most impressive victory when he stopped Devon Alexander in the 6th round. Devon had never been stopped before and this was not an expected result. However, the win does come with an asterix because Devon Alexander hasn't really looked the same in the last few years and looks more like a shell of his former self that used to be a very good fighter. Redkach has 4 losses on his record and what to take from that is that he has looked vulnerable very often when facing big punchers and you could argue that he never has faced someone with the power of Danny Garcia's left hook. Danny Garcia is by far the more accomplished fighter here and his only 2 losses were very close and debatable. Redkach does have some decent power but he is unlikely to be to really hurt Garcia who has always had a granite chin.
Redkach is a fighter that likes to go forward throwing big shots, and while doing so he leaves himself open for big counters. Garcia is a tremendous counter puncher with both his signature left-hook and his straight right hand. Redkach will make the fight interesting but he will run into something big and get knocked out. The Pick is Danny Garcia to win this fight by ko/tko.
