Alicia Napoleon vs. Elin Cederroos

10 rounds, WBA/IBF women's super middleweight title unification

Elin Cederroos (7-0) from Sweden has a very interesting background. She was a professional soccer player and has played over 100 games in Sweden's elite soccer division, so we know that she has a high degree of professionalism and discipline. She took up boxing late and has developed very quickly and become a belt holder all within 7 fights. Her opponent, Alicia Napoleon who is heavily favored in this match-up has a record of 12-1 with her only loss coming to Tori Nelson a few years back. During fight week it has been apparent that the Swede is very happy and relaxed, which are good ingredients for success. She seems to be happy that she will be able to fight in a unification fight on American television and she looks intent to give it her all. Alicia Napoleon has also looked good and she seems to have trained very hard for the fight where she hopes to face Claressa Shields if successful. Elin Cederroos is not very experienced at the top level but she has desire and she is big and strong for the weight, the type of strength that is natural and useful for boxing.

We believe this fight will go the distance. Napoleon is a tough fighter but she is not known for her boxing skills, rather more for her toughness and all action style. Cederroos can certainly be outboxed because she really does not have much ring experience and savvy but that will take someone with a slick boxing style to expose. Our own Hisham Zaben has liked what he has seen from the Swede and the Pick is Elin Cederroos to win a Decision for a great price of +600 (7.00 decimal odds)
