Tony Harrison vs. Jermell Charlo

12 rounds, rematch, 12 rounds, WBC junior middleweight title

Tony Harrison (28-2) pulled of a big upset win in his last fight when he beat Jermell Charlo by a unanimous decision. Many observers were shocked in the aftermath and even Harrison himself looked a little bit surprised that the decision had gone his way. The fight was very close and Harrison was mostly effective with his jab while Charlo was the one forcing the pace and throwing more power punches. The rematch comes almost a year after their first meeting. Harrison has not had any fights since then and Charlo has had one against Jorge Cota who he stopped easily. Both guys looked good at the weigh in and the tension between them seems very real; Charlo wants to get back what he thinks belongs to him while Harrison wants to show that it was no fluke the first time.

Neither fighter can dominate the other but we can't see Harrison winning another close decision throwing so few punches. The Pick here is Jermell Charlo to win a very close decision, perhaps a split-decision because of how close the rounds will be which makes them difficult to score. This is the kind of fight where both guys will feel they have done enough to earn the victory.
