Vergil Ortiz jr has been named by some the top prospect in boxing. To be sure, he is a very talented fighter and at the young age of 21 he has already compiled a record of 14-0 with all 14 wins coming by knockout. He seems to have extraordinary power and the way that he took out Mauricio Herrera was very impressive. Nobody had been able to stop Herrera before although he had 8 losses and Herrera had been in with big punchers before. He is now facing another step-up in Brad Solomon (28-9) who is a good boxer and big for the weight. The problem for Solomon is that he has been inactive since april 2018 so that is more than a year and a half out of the ring.
