Amir Khan vs. Billy Dib could look like a mismatch at first glance with Dib moving up several divisions to take on Amir Khan at 147 pounds. Khan is coming of a tko loss at the hands of Terence Crawford in April of this year. Billy Dib is also very experienced with a total of 52 fights on his record. He has won 45 fights and recorded stoppages in 26 of those. Dib recently fought Tevin Farmer and went the whole 12 round distance with him losing a unanimous decision.
Billy Dib doesn’t have the size or power to be any danger to Amir Khan. Many people question Khan´s ability to take punches well on the chin, but they forget that he has been hit by some big punchers in Canelo, Crawford, Maidana, Collazo, Barrera etc. Billy Dib does not fit in that category. And although Khan looks to have slipped a little in boxing technique and clearly seems to be on the downside, he is still very fast and it is not an easy job to outbox him because of his conditioning and high volume punching.
