Nordine Oubaali vs. Arthur Villanueva

12 rounds, for Oubaali's WBC bantamweight title

Nordine Oubaali was very impressive in his last outing when he beat Rau´she Warren by a unanimous decision on the undercard of Pacquiao-Broner. He had an extensive amateur career and he is now 15-0 as a pro and holder of the WBC bantamweight title. He is facing tough veteran Arthur Villanueva (32-3) from the Philippines. They both weighed in at an identical 117 ¼ pounds and they both look to be in exceptional shape. Villanueva does have 3 losses, but all came against high quality opposition in Luis Nery, Zolani Tete and McJoe Arroyo. He was stopped only against Nery and the fact that he went the distance with Zolani tete speaks well for him. Nordine Oubaali is very active in the ring as we saw against Raushee Warren and it is not an easy job to outpoint him because of the amount of punches he throws.

Oubaali is the better boxer of the two and he will put the pressure on Villanueva who never has shown that he is able to beat someone of Oubaali´s caliber. Some rounds might be close but the quality work will come from Oubaali who we see retaining his belt. The Pick is Nordine Oubaali to win
