Jermall Charlo vs. Brandon Adams

12 rounds, for Charlo's WBC interim middleweight title

Brandon Adams (21-2) had a short amateur career but he has developed a lot as a professional. In his last 3 fights he has beaten some decent fighters in Shane Mosley jr, Eric Walker and Levgen Khytrov. Those are good fighters but not elite fighters and the 2 times he did step up in class he lost both times. The losses came against Willie Monroe jr and John Thompson. Brandon Adams is normally tough and durable but he has never faced anything remotely close to Jermall Charlo before who has looked very impressive for most of his career.

Adams is very overmatched in this bout. He doesn’t have enough ring experience against quality opposition to deal with a fighter like Charlo. Although Julian Williams and Matvey Korobov proved that you can win rounds against him, we have to remember that those are elite boxers. Brandon Adams has never shown the skills needed to get the win in a fight like this. Charlo punches very hard and if you don’t have the defense to get away from his big shots he will normally win by stoppage. The Pick is Jermall Charlo to win by ko/tko.

The Pick: Jermall Charlo ko/tko
