Gennady Golovkin is back in the ring after a 9-month absence since losing to Canelo Alvarez. He has since shifted trainers and is now training with Jonathan Banks. His opponent Steve Rolls is young and technical and he brings the confidence of a man that has never lost. Golovkin, has definitely learned after last week to not underestimate any opponent. Rolls is perceived to be on the same threat level to Golovkin as Ruiz was to Joshua. Golovkin will not underestimate Rolls. There is nothing in Rolls past that suggests that he will be able to beat a fighter of golovkins calibre. Unbeaten opponents however, in their first big fight will normally give a good performance because they know how a win would transcend their careers.
