Joshua Buatsi vs. Marco Antonio Periban

10 rounds, light heavyweights
Joshua Buatsi is being talked about as the next big thing at light heavyweight. He passes the eyeball-test with flying colors and he seems to have serious power to go along with his skills. He has only had 10 fights and is already ranked nr 21 on Boxrec. His last 5 wins have all come inside the distance with some remarkable knockout wins. This is a step up for him against Marco Antonio Periban who is a proven tough Mexican fighter. He fought to a draw against Badou Jack a few years ago and he has decision losses to Avni Yildirim and J´leon Love. He has only been stopped once and that was against James DeGale. The timing of the fight definitely favors Buatsi as Periban has been inactive for 2 years. Buatsi is just way too sharp for someone like Periban at this stage of their careers. If Periban has good conditioning he might be able to go the distance as he is a true gritty veteran. If he is less than fully prepared he will get clipped and stopped. Either way he will not be victorious. The Pick is Joshua Buatsi to win this fight.
